All tickets for the Chan Centre event on Friday are General Admission, which means first comes first served.

Whale Watching Tour in Steveston. Friday , June 24th , 2011
We have negotiated with Seabreeze Adventures ( http://www.seabreezeadventures.ca ) a special deal for the Sing and Yodel Festival participants.
Seabreeze Adventures will pick you up at the door of the Walter Gage Residents lobby, drive you to Steveston , transfer you to the whale watching boat, and after the tour bring you back to the hotel. Seabreeze Adventures invite you to step into the world of Orcas ( Killer Whales ) or perhaps Humpbacks or Minke Whales, Grey Whales, Dolphins, Porpoises, seals or sealions, eagles and a variety of seabirds. For a minimum of 3 to 5 hours ( depending where the whales are ) , be fascinated by various species of marine wildlife waiting to be discovered ! Come for an exhilarating ride aboard their 40-foot covered vessel offering comfortable inside seating & unrestricted outside viewing !
The company will have a certified naturalist/interpreter on board and hydrophones to hear the whales vocalize. Whatever else you do in British Columbia, don't miss this whale watching adventure; you'll have a " whale of tale" to tell !!

Cost: $ 98 per person. This is an all inclusive price! It includes all taxes, shuttle bus transport from and to the hotel, whale watching tour accompanied by a certified naturalist/interpreter, bottled water ,coffee and a granola bar on the boat. Payments: Payment will be collected upon arrival at the company's office. The company accepts cash, major credit cards ( Visa / MasterCard / Amex ), debit and traveler cheques.

Other information for people arriving from the Portland / Seattle areas by train:
The trains from Portland/Seattle will arrive at the Vancouver Pacific Train Station, 1150 Station Street, Vancouver, BC
When you come out of the train station and look to the left, you can see the Skytrain station across the street.
Take Skytrain in direction to "Waterfront". Get off Skytrain at Burrard Street Station (3rd stop) and proceed to Bay 1.
Take Bus #44 UBC. This bus will take you directly to the University. The total trip should take about 40 minutes. Cost per adult is CAD$2.50 per person (1 Zone). Since you have to purchase your ticket from an automat, you need CAD money. The machine will give you change, if you have $5, $10 or $20 bills. The machines will also accept CAD coins.
